He was united in marriage to Helen Schaefer June 7, 1922. To this union two children were born; Dr. Virgil Condon of Salt Lake City Utah and DeVonne (Mrs Jim Snow) of Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Raymond became a member of the Exeter Methodist Church November 20, 1922, later transferring his membership in 1951 to the Fairmont Methodist Church.
He served in the Navy in World War I and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He owned and operated a garage in Exeter for approximately 22 years. He moved to Fairmont in 1950 where he continued to operate a garage until his retirement.
His wife Helen passed away in June 1962. On July 3, 1969, he remarried to Lucille Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen, parents, one sister and two brothers.
He is survived by his present wife Lucille; his son, Dr. Virgil Condon of Salt Lake City Utah and a daughter Mrs DeVonne Snow of Hot Springs South Dakota; his daughter-in-law Mrs Marilyn Condon and son-in-law Jim Snow, seven grandchildren and three sisters, Iva Bickert of McCool Junction, Mrs. Gola Churchill of San Dimas, California and Mrs. Fred Styskal of Exeter; two stepdaughters and one stepson, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, November 27th at the Methodist Church in Fairmont with Reverend Josephine Scahill officiating. Pallbearers were Howard Tice, Carl Blum, Kenneth Knew, Kenneth Rhodes, Alfred Jorgensen and Robert Stephenson. Instrument was in the Exeter Cemetery.
