He was the son of Kenneth and Eva (Storckman) Hampton.
He was a Union member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and he worked at Victor – Dana in Robinson for over 20 years as a Material Handler. He was married to Donna Sue (Dunlap) Hampton on January 24, 1980 in Lawrenceville and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Johnny is survived by his loving wife Donna Sue (Dunlap) Hampton of Bridgeport, one brother Kenneth (Butch) Hampton, andwife Vickie of Bridgeport, one loving daughter Jennifer Reese,and fiancé John Brandon Severio of Livingston, Louisiana, two loving sons John Robert Hampton, and partner Eric Black of Newton, Andrew M. Kidwell ,and wife Amanda of Oblong, two loving grandchildren Cameron and Dallas Kidwell of Oblong, one uncle Eugene (Sam) Storckman of Bridgeport, his mother-in-law Lucille Dunlap of Robinson, one sister-in-law Brenda Creed, and husband Roger of Palestine, one brother-in-law Ron Dunlap of Robinson and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service with Reverend Deetta Gaither officiating at Glasser Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial in the Sumner City Cemetery.
