Joanne Allee, age 69, Eldon, MO, formerly of Brumley, MO, and Overland Park, KS, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO. She was born in Kansas City, KS, on August 9, 1935, a daughter of Floyd and Ruth (Webb) Hignight.


On April 11, 1970, in Kansas City, KS, she was married to James Lee Allee, who survives at the home.


Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Katzer of Misson, KS, and her children, Rebecca and Christopher Katzer, and Donna Hall (Jim) of Iberia, MO, and her children, Michelle Williams and Jimmy Hall; two stepchildren, Debbie Bolinger of Colorado Springs, CO, and Troy Allee of Braymer, MO; one brother, Raymond Hignight (Judi) of Savannah, MO; two sisters, Beverly Waldo of Frisco, TX, and Lana Smith (John) of Kansas City, MO; one sister-in-law, Ardis Patterson of Iberia, MO; one brother-in-law, Charles Allee (Penny) of Brumley, MO; stepmother, Virginia Hignight of Prairie Village, KS; ten grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Billy Joe Herndon.


Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 14, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, MO. Services will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Chet Higbee and Rev. Hank Tannehill officiating. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hawkins Cemetery.
