Elsie Lennie Barefield, 90, Cayce Street, died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Gary Childress officiating. Burial will be in Lander Cemetery, Trigg County. Visitation will be from noon until time for the service Saturday.
A native of Livingston County, she was born June 24, 1912, the daughter of the late William Harry and Emma Ann Lucas Bennett. She was a homemaker and a member of Buffalo Lick Baptist Church but had been attending Living Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Barefield; two sons, Kent and Larry Barefield, and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Lick Baptist Church or Living Hope Baptist Church.
