Professional Hockey Player. A native of North Bay, Ontario, Brown played the position of Defense for teams in the CHL, AHA, NOHA, OHAJR, OHASR, NHL, CPHL, NBHL, and the IHL. At 5'10", and 150lbs, Brown played for the North Bay Arena Stars from 1914 to 1915, Berlin Union Jacks from 1915 to 1916, Toronto St. Pats from 1916 to 1917, St. Michael Majors from 1917 to 1918, Toronto Dentals from 1918 to 1920, University of Toronto from 1920 to 1922, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds from 1922 to 1926, Detroit Greyhounds from 1926 to 1927, New York Rangers from 1926 to 1927, Windsor Hornets from 1926 to 1928, Detroit Cougars from 1927 to 1928, and the Windsor Bulldogs from 1928 to 1935. Brown retired from hockey in 1935, with 48 NHL games, 8 goals, and 2 assists in his career. He passed away in North Bay in July 1987 at the age of 89.
