He was born Jan. 21, 1909, in Chester, S.C., to the late Julian H. Clark and Mary Hood Clark.
He was a Christian and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Rose Roberson, and his sister, Lavinia McElveen.
Graveside services with military honors will be 1 p.m. Friday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and by his special friend, neighbor and caregiver, Kristy Thompson of Fort Smith.
