Frank W. Roofner, 93, of Worthington, died Monday at his home. Born July 14, 1903 in Mosgrove, he was the son of the late Robert and Emma (Quigley) Roofner. He worked as a farmer, and was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worthington. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Ellen Brown; brothers, Raymond, Clifford, and Victor; a sister, Iola M. Wolfe; several grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Robert W. and Carl F., both of Worthington; Edward C., Kittanning; daughters, Alice M. Dezort, Cabot; Emma Smith, Worthington; Iola Maude Anchor, Dallas; Mrs. Richard (Janet) Keener, Sarver; Mrs. Robert (Vera) White, Cowansville; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George A., Ford City; sisters, Nellie M. McCollim, Kittanning; Francis S. Wertz, Levittown. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worthington, with the Rev., Sue Irons, officiating. Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today from the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 424 Bear Street, Worthington.
