Alice Marrah Raisor Moffett, 62, died at 10:50 AM Wednesday [Dec. 30, 1959] in Lafayette Home Hospital, following six months of failing health and hospitalization since Sunday. Born at Shelbyville, KY, she was reared there, but had lived in Lafayette 42 years. In 1916, she was married to Curt Moffett at Shelbyville.

Mrs. Moffett was owner of the liquor store located at 1721 East Main Street. She was a member of the Baptist church at Hempbridge, KY.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Richard L. [Sallie Florence] Clark of Lafayette; a son, Thomas J. Moffett of Fowler; a brother, John Raisor of Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Pete Peterson of Detroit, MI, Mrs. William David of Hempbridge, KY, Mrs. Bessie Hilt of Lafayette, and Mrs. Mary Griffin of New Alvany, IN; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
