This person is listed in Glendale records, but not Masonic. I gotta go find this one. There is a memorial in Glendale because it is in their records, but there is no stone.Martin Ragatz
Birth: 5 May 1821, Andeer, Graubunden, Switzerland
Death: 20 Apr 1913, Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, IA, USA

Family, please tell us stories about this family coming from Switzerland. Why did he move to Iowa after staying in Burns, Lapeer, Michigan. And, any Braun family connection while living in Michigan. Their daughter married into our Braun line, stayed behind and is buried there.

Family photographs are needed, as well! Need his parents names and their dates and burial place.

Cynthia Trainor, our family scholar, adds Abbie's siblings on her private ancestry.com tree. Cynthia has taken our families back to the 1700's. She has pictures of all these siblings and so many more. It is a delightful to see our family has preserved them!

Martin Ragatz, 1821 – 1913

Abbie Ragatz, 1854 – 1880

Leonard Ragatz, 1856 – 1937

Richard "Dick" Ragatz, 1860 – 1952

Christian "Tony" Ragatz, 1862 – 1949

Anna J. Ragatz, 1864 – 1935

Mary Ragatz, 1867 – 1929

"Masonic Cemetery- part of Glendale Cemetery. Martin was buried in Glendale from 22 Apr 1913 until 24 Sep 1920. Records at the cemetery showed that Thomas Tobin owned both plots. Who was buried in his plot at Glendale after he was moved is Maude Donavan and her infant, dated Feb 1921. Martin was the 20th person to be buried at Masonic Cemetery. Now there are thousands and thousands."
