OBITUARY:

Funeral services for Jess Calvin Wood, 83, 1211 University, Seminole, will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with Rev. Reed Ryan officiating under the direction of Swearingen-Arnhart Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka.

Mr. Wood died in Seminole Municipal Hospital Emergency Room.

Mr. Wood, retired Sinclair oil field pumper, had lived in Seminole County most of his life.

Born Nov. 26, 1898 in Langley, Arkansas, to John Woods and Becky Morphew. He died Tuesday at Seminole Municipal Hospital. Source: Randy Hertzberg

Survivors include his wife, Effie of the home; five sons, Paul Wood, Jessie C. wood, and Joseph Wood, all of McLoud, William H. Wood of Oklahoma City and Robert wood of Oakland, Calif. and three daughters, Lorena Herzberg, of California, Helen Waller of Puxico, Mo. and Ruby Wood.

Also, one brother, Vick Wood of Moore; one sister Dollie Willhite of Hugo; three stepsons, Onis Croce of Seminole, Billy Croce of Houston, Texas and Leonard Croce of California; one stepdaughter, Betty Jean Martin of Houston, Texas and 14 grandchildren.
