LEON L. ADAMS
Leon L. Adams, 66, of Gladwin,died Friday, Dec. 29, 1995 at St.Mary's Hospital in Saginaw following a long illness.
Born Aug. 20, 1929 in Mt.Pleasant, he moved to Gladwin from the Holly area.
Mr. Adams married the former Dorothy Darlene March 15, 1955 in Pontiac. She preceded him in death March 12, 1992.
Surviving are 9 daughters, Cindy and husband Don Ross of Melvin, Delores and husband Robert Reynolds of Fostoria, Esther and husband A1 Simon of Evart, Kathy and husband John Preston of Jeddo, Deanna Adams of Harrison, Christie Adams of Reed City, Wanda and husband James Hannan of Sumner, Kimberly and husband Richard Elliott of Sumner, and Georgiania and husband Dennis Spohn of Sumner; and 7 sons, Fred and wife Laurie of Grand Blanc, Randy and wife Jeaine of Swartz Creek, Stanley and wife Janet,Ronald and Robert of Burton, Forrest and wife Annie of Burton, and Leon Jr. of Evart. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Otis and Richard Elliott and Franklin.
Rites were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin chapel. The Rev. Jerry Wells officiated and burial was in Hamilton Township, Clare County. Gladwin County Record dated 2-7/1996 Column - 4 Page - 7.
