"Ernst A. Stadler was born in Passau, Bavaria, and works for Anheuser-Busch, Incorporated, of St. Louis. He was educated in Germany and employed (1950-1954) by Radio Free Europe in Munich. His interest in German immigration to America is reflected by his articles. "The German Settlement of St. Louis," in Mid-continent American Studies Journal (Spring 1965) and "Karl May: The Wild West Under the German Umlaut," in the Missouri Historical Society Bulletin (July 1965)."
