An Army veteran who served in World War II, he was a member of St. Benedict Monastery, Linton Hall, and retired from there as a maintenance supervisor after 55 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Grace B. Pollock of Gainesville and Jean M. Ratliff of Manassas; one son, Richard L. Beavers of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two sisters, Agnes Davis of Clifton, and Jane Dawkins of Rome, Ga; one brother Arthur Beavers of Manassas; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Benedict Monastery Chapel, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
