Thomas F. O'Connor, 84, widower of ___ O'Connor, died of pneumonia yesterday, (Wednesday, February 15, 1939), at 710 South avenue, where he maintained a home with his son, ___. Mr. O'Connor had been ill a month.

He retired about 25 year ago from his own retailing business in New York City, where he was born. He came from New York to Westfield in 1916. A member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Trinity Church, Mr. O'Connor leaves seven children: James, Joseph, John, all of Westfield, and Thomas of Fanwood; Mrs. Edward F. Noonan, Mrs. John H. Tray___, both of Westfield, and Mrs. Ellis ___ndening of Little Rock, Ark. Fifteen grandchildren also survive.

His father, James O'Connor, was one of the first to elist in the Civil War and was killed in 1861 at the Battle of Fair Oaks. The deceased's father also wrote a popular song of the day, Like Over the Ocean Wave.

The Holy Name Society will visit the O'Connor home tomorrow night.

Rev. H. J. Watterson, pastor of Holy Trinity Church, will officiate at a High Mass of Requiem in the church Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield.
