Patricia F. (Stand) Bacon 70, died March 31, 2012 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Bacon, who died in 2009.
Mrs. Bacon worked as an administrative assistantfor many years in the manufacturing and social services industries, retiring from the Dept. of Youth Services in Worcester.
Patricia was born Sept. 14, 1941 in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of Charles E. Stand of Northbridge and the late Florence (Clark) Stand.
She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, class of 1959. She had been a resident of Northbridge before moving to Upton 40 years ago.
In her early years, Patricia enjoyed time at her father's pond in Millvile. She loved vacationing with her family on Lake Winona in NH. During the summer months she was happy sitting at home on her porch chatting with friends and family.
Patricia especially loved her husband, children and cats.
In addition to her father, she is survived by one daughter, Karen E. Bacon of Worcester; one son, Keith R. Bacon of Tampa, FL., her sister, Barbara Gunter of Millville and her brother and sister in-law Gerald and Barbara Bacon of Whitinsville. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Nancy Lunt.
Funeral services were held Wednesday March 4, 2012 from the Buma Funeral Home, 460 Church St., Whitinsville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick's Church, Cross St., Whitinsville, with burial in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Providence Road, Whitinsville.
