Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the Union Army in Company C, 3d Missouri Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on July 25, 1864 at Benton, Arkansas. His citation reads "Pursued and killed Confederate Brig. Gen. George M, Holt, Arkansas Militia, capturing his arms and horse." The GPS Coordinates are N40.02357 W90.88510
