Melanie was born January 24th, 1974, to Joseph K. Newsom and Dianne Burrow Algiere. Melanie was called to her heavenly home March 31, 2012, surrounded by her newly wed husband James Harmon and her family at Trinity Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Melanie will be remembered by her love for her kids, Auburn and the Colts football. She also was very talented at crochet, and cross stitching. Melanie also had a associates degree in accounting and a bachelors degree in network communications.
Left to cherish the memory of Melanie will be her husband James Harmon and her two children; Brent Andrew Mays and Thomas Richard Mays, her three step-children; Alexis Lynn Harmon, James Austin Harmon Christoher Joseph Harmon all of Pell City Al.; two sisters; Tiffany Newsom Cochran (Adam Cochran) of Warner Robins, Katie Loraine Howell (Jason Howell) of Macon, her mother in law, sisters in law and brother in law, several neices, nephews, cousins, Aunts, Uncles and a host of other family members along with many great friends.
