INDIANAPOLIS – Gregory Jarrett, age 34, died Monday, April 2, 2012 in Indianapolis. Born on August, 24, 1977 in Greenfield, he was the son of Stephen Jarrett and Karen Wickliff.

Greg was known to have a very big heart. He liked to live life on his own terms and could be considered a lone wolf, but that didn't stop him from being a loving father, son, brother, and uncle who deeply cared about his family. Greg enjoyed listening to punk rock music and loved to cook. His family enjoyed every time he wanted to cook for them, especially his crab Rangoon.

Surviving him are his parents, Stephen (Teresa) Jarrett of Greenfield, IN, Karen Wickliff of Lehigh Acres, FL; children Tristin, and Ethan Jarrett of Austin, TX Gaige Matthew ; sister, Stephanie Jarrett of Greenfield, IN; step-brother, Aaron Gray of Carmel, IN; grandparents, Lois and Charles Jarrett of Greenfield, IN, Peggy and Dick Johnson of Kokomo, IN; great-grandmother, Cloie Jarrett of Greensboro, IN; nieces and nephews, Chloe Pike, Jessica Pike, Karen Pike, Joseph Jarrett; and friend and mother of his children, Tonya Osborn of Austin, TX; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death was his close friend, Jon Murnan.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family to help defray funeral expenses at The Jarrett family, c/o Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. US Hwy 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
