Funeral services ill be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Beryl Kinser, pastor Christian church in charge assisted by Rev. R. L. Wilson. Burial will be in St. Jude Cemetery.
The son of John and Mary Lear. Mr. Lear was born at New Market, Marion county, June 18, 1855. For 38 years he was employed as a foreign buyer of linens for Emery-Byrd-Thayer of Kansas City, in which company he was also a stockholder. Because of his work as buyer he made several trips to Europe. He retired in 1914 and has since made his home with his brother, the late Henry Lear, in Monroe City.
On September 28, 1923, he was married to Lenna Ruth Evans, who survives with many nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
