Tremonton – Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Charlotte Elizebeth Gibson Worthen, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2012. She was born August 3, 1931 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Leland and Ada Golda Winward Gibson. She graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College. Charlotte married Verl LeRoy "Roy" Worthen in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 23, 1953. They lived in North Ogden for 33 years and the last 14 years in Tremonton. Charlotte worked at DDO for 27 years.
She was a member of the North Ogden 2nd Ward for many years and currently a member of the Fairview 1st Ward in Tremonton. She served as Primary President, Sunday School teacher and visiting teacher.
Charlotte enjoyed traveling, visiting grandkids/great-grandkids, camping with her grandkids and making baby blankets for them.
She is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Roy; 4 sons, Brent, Scott, Gary and Wes Worthen; daughter, Dana (Jerry) Bywater; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Owen and Ron, and her granddaughter, Heidi Jo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. Interment will be in the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden, Utah.
