Mrs. Cynthia Palmer died at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. James Barton in Parish, N. Y., Friday evening at the age of 83 years. She leaves beside her daughter, two sisters, Mrs. Julia Huntington of Elmira and Mrs. Harriet Chollar of this village (under heading Cuyler).
Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Darby, who were among the early settlers of this country and lived for many years on the farm at East River where they reared a family of nine children.
