Hylton Bond Virginia Adaline Hylton Bond Alderman, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Mom is in a much happier place today, enjoying her reunion with those who have already passed before.
She is survived by three sons and their families, Roger and Dana Bond, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and grandson, Ryan and wife, Angie and daughter, Vivinee, granddaughter, Kara and son, Aidan; Richard and Liz Bond, of Debary, Fla., and granddaughter, Stephanie; Ronald and Helen Alderman, of Roanoke; and grandsons Rick and Alec. Her family extended to many others, including many dear and personal friends.
While living in Floyd County, she was active in her community, and loved being a part of her church family at Topeco Church of the Brethren. She was well known for the many long hours she spent quilting and growing her many beautiful flowers in her gardens.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Topeco Church with the Reverend Mike Varner officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd.
Gifts of flowers will be graciously appreciated as mom dearly loved flowers as many who passed by her home knew.
