Athol, Mass. Brian C. Frey, age 57, of Athol, Mass., died Sunday, March 18, 2012, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Wes Hafner officiating.
He was born in St. Peter, on June 29, 1954, the son of the late Raymond and the late Marion (Hielman) Frey.

His family moved to Blue Earth in 1961. He was raised and educated in Blue Earth and graduated in 1973. He participated in football and went to the state championship his senior year in high school for wrestling.

Brian was an avid bowler, golfer, gardener, enjoyed Christmas decorating and most of all spending time with his two granddaughters, Estella and Abigail.

In 1985, Brian's occupation in plastics allowed his family to live in many different states, Connecticut, Georgia, South Carolina and in Massachusetts since 1989. Brian was employed at Catamount Manufacturing in Orange from 1989 to 2002, and was recently employed at Leaktite Manufacturing in Leominster until his illness in April 2011.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Diane J. (Ihle) Frey; two daughters, Angela (Corey) Fitzgerald, and their daughter, Estella, of Athol, and Amber Frey, of Leominster; two sons, Jesse Frey and his daughter, Abigail, of Athol, and Jonathan Frey, of Athol; three sisters, Wendy (Larry) Miller, of Deltona, Fla., Cheryl (John) Faundeen, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Susan (Brian) Conelly, of Minneapolis; two brothers, Brad (Kim) Frey, of Hastings, and Denny Frey, of Deltona; mother-in-law, Marjorie Bengtson, of Blue Earth; brother-in-law, Lyle Ihle, of Elmore; sisters-in-law, Kathy Ihle, of Shakopee, and Dedee (Allan) Hummell, of Delano; aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Harold Ihle; stepfather-in-law, George Bengston; and brothers-in-law, Marlin Ihle and Dennis Ihle.
