Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Eric Barnett Greg Barnett, Justin Frost, Kenny Frost, Jimmy Daugherty and Bobby Jennings serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service, beginning at 1 p.m., at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Verna Barnett passed away Monday afternoon, April 2, 2012, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab.
She was born in Rains County on April 25, 1912, the daughter of Cecil McLeroy and Mattie (Freeman) McLeroy.
She married Willie Barnett in Rains County on Oct. 8, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Barnett was a homemaker. She was a member of Daugherty Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Windle Wayne Barnett and wife, Glenda "Sissie," of Sulphur Springs and Alvis Ray Barnett and wife, Deloris, of Nocona; one sister, Ludene Johnson of Mabank; one brother, Weaver B. McLeroy of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Eric Barnett, Greg Barnett, Cindy Frost and Dawn Latour; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
