WHITESBORO - Graveside services for J.D. Lunsford, 60, of Whitesboro, Texas, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, April, 4, 2012 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, with Bro. Kelley Gray officiating, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 7 -8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2012.

J.D. was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on March 27, 1952 to J. C. and Dollie Ann Rodgers Lunsford. He passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 in Sherman. J.D. enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing, and taking care of his yard. He loved his family deeply, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Whitesboro; daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Don Toney of Whitesboro; daughter, Jennifer Lunsford of Greenville; grandchildren, Courtney and Corey; mother, Dollie Lunsford of Whitesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Chris Lunsford of Whitesboro; brother, Mark Lunsford of Denton; brother, Michael Lunsford of Sherman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law Susan Lunsford.
