Calvin Matthew Sunday, 93, formally of Baltimore MD, died at his residence in Palm Coast, FL. He was born on May 19, 1918 in Huntingdon County, PA and moved to Baltimore, MD in 1941. He graduated from Warriors Mark High School in PA in 1936. He retired from The Baltimore Gas & Electric Company in June 1983 after 26 years of service. After retirement, in 1984, he moved to Daytona Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary (nee Baney) Sunday; wife Mathetta (nee Bougher) Sunday; son James and wife Marie Sunday; brother Paul Sunday; sisters Dorothy Weiser, Eva Dillen and Violet Conner. He is survived by his children, Gregory and Diane Sunday of Tampa, FL, Deborah and Jerry Callahan of Union, SC, David and Mary Sunday of Arnold, MD, Elaine Walters of Bunnell, FL; sister Florence Deaven; brothers William and George Sunday; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 12 noon at the Parkwood Cemetery Chapel, 3310 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21234 (410) 444-5474. Interment immediately after the memorial service.
