Virginia Gamble Imes, 68, Wilson N.C. and formerly of Bradenton and Venice, died Feb 21, 2002. She was born March 27, 1933 in Dellroy, Ohio, came to Venice in 1974 from Ohio, moved to Bradenton in 1988 and moved to Wilson in 2001. She was a drug clerk at Eckerd and Walgreens. She was a Christian. Survivors include sons Robert D. of Elm City, N.C., and Richard P. and Mark S., both of Bradenton; Sisters Donna Hodge of Hudson, Ill and Esther Morton of Normal, Ill.; a half-sister, Irene S. Hodge of Bolivar, Ohio; a brother, Donald Gamble of Normal; a half-brother David Gamble of Dellroy; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The services will be in June in Ohio. Burial will be in Leavittsville Cemetary, Leavittsville, Ohio. Rouse Mortuary Service and Crematory, Greenville, N.C; is in charge.
