William Daniel Burke

1926-2012

William Daniel Burke, 85 of Pace, FL passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012.

Mr. Burke, also known as Paw Paw, was a native of Milton and has resided most of his life in the area. He was a retired Towboat Captain with over 50 years of service. He enjoyed the water, woodworking and reading. He was also known for telling lots of funny stories.

William is survived by his wife, Mary Burke; son, William Daniel Burke, Jr.; three daughters, Linda (Freeman) Medley, Lea (Donny) McGowan and Debra Burke; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Sonny; and a sister, Elizabeth.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Clarence Brockman officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel.
