Eunice F. McClure, 88 of Caldwell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at her home of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at Canyon Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Eunice was born Nov. 16, 1918 in Luray, Kan. the daughter of Russell and Alma Cochrun. She attended school in Kansas until she moved to Oregon with her family in 1935. She finished her schooling gin Oregon and attended business school. She married Chuck McClure of Caldwell, Idaho in 1939 at St. Michael's Cathedral in Boise. They bought Quastys Lunch in Caldwell and she worked there for 15 years before going with her husband, who was in the navy, to San Diego and Chicago, Illinois. They sold their business to her sister and brother-in-law, Eloise and Clyde Schurr. Eunice worked for a local real estate and insurance firm for a number of years. She also worked at McClure's Bakery. Eunice and Chuck had a daughter, Nancy Ann. Chuck passed away in Feb. of 1985. Eunice was a member of the United Methodist Church, Phi Alpha Kappa, Rho Chapter Sorority and was a volunteer with West Valley Medical Center Auxiliary. Eunice is survived by her daughter, Nancy Smith of Caldwell; three grandchildren, Andrea Banks, Anthony (Lina) Smith, Sr. and Allison (Lance) Stoller. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Freda Holcomb and Eloise Schurr; a brother, Kenneth Cochrun and a great grandson, Lucas Charles Banks.
