Richard Basil McCarthy was born in Chicago Il. and died in Oconto Wi shortly before the birth of his 5th child Ann. He and Mary Lois McHughes were married on August 4, 1948. He served as a sargeant in the Air Force from 1948-1951. He has 9 grandchildren myself included. My brother Richard is the spitting image of our grandfather. Although we were never able to meet our grandfather our grandmother recounted her memories many times and brought us to love him deeply. May he rest in peace.
