she was married April 15, 1810 at Saint Thomas, Upper Church, Dudley, Worcestershire, England to her first cousin, John Badley, F.R.C.S. and was the eldest daughter of Mary (Fisher) and John Badley of Blowers Green the elder son of Henry Badley, of Blowers Green. They had eight children: The eldest child was Sarah Badley; the eldest two sons, John Badley and William Badley, emigrated to America; the fourth child Henry Badley only lived two months and nine days; the fifth child and third son to live to maturity was Henry Payton Badley; the sixth child and second daughter was Mary Fisher Badley, the seventh child James Payton Badley followed his father in the practice of surgery and fathered John Haden Badley, founder of Bedales School, the first co-educational school in England; the eighth and youngest child Edward Badley died just short of his third birthday.
