MOLINE - Richard A. Bump, of Moline, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, in his residence. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Dr. Mark E. Gehrke officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice. Richard Arnold Bump was born March 21, 1951, in Moline, the son of Jay and Myrtle (Block) Bump. He graduated from Moline High School and attended Black Hawk College. He was a journeyman electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 145. He enjoyed auto racing and was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. Richard is survived by his mother, Myrtle Bump, of Moline; brothers and sisters in law, Jay William and Karen Bump, of Claremont, Fla., Tom and Roswitha Bump, of Moline, and John Bump, of San Francisco, Calif.; a nephew, and his wife, Jay and Michelle Bump, of Bettendorf; great-nephews, Jason and Jacob Bump, of Bettendorf; and step children, Jason Watts, of Rock Island, and Jennifer Ritz, of Moline.
