Emma Florence was the daughter of James Allen Floyd and his wife Selina Ann Jones. Her siblings were Aquilla John, Fannie Jane, James Henry, William Jones, Edward Lodrick, Anzie Leonora, Burrell McDonough, Isabelle and Selina Rosemond Lewis.

On Nov 29, 1893 she became the bride of William Walter Humphrey a native of Robeson county, NC. This union was blessed with two girls: Alberta Ruth, and Etette.

Her obituary or death notice: "The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Humphrey are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. Humphrey from the residence No. 1819 1-2 Montgomery Street. This (Sunday) afternoon at 3 o'clock, interment Isle of Hope Cemetery." Savannah Morning News Dec 8, 1935 pg 2 col 1."

May 8, 2012, from Debi Harbuck. Today I finally heard from the church historian at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. She tells me they have "a hand-drawn plat of the cemetery as it was in early days. On the drawing there is a lot that says " Issued to Mr. & Mrs. W. W. Humphrey July 13th, 1913."
