Michael Joseph Wurm June 7, 1950 - March 31, 2012 Michael Wurm, age 61 of Laingsburg, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg with Rev. Fr. Duane H. Pamment officiating. Family will join friends in celebration of Michael's life on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Michael was born on June 7, 1950 in St. Johns, the son of Norman F. Wurm Sr. and Katherine M. Hurst. Michael graduated from Laingsburg High School and received an associates degree with Magna Cum Laude honors at LCC. He served in the U.S. Army During the Viet Nam War. On April 8, 1972 he married Kristen Cortright in Laingsburg. He worked as an office manager and residential technician for Holden House. Michael was a member of the Laingsburg American Legion and the Lumberjocks woodworking on line community. He is survived by his wife Kristen, two children, Cal (Lori) Wurm of Laingsburg and Raenee (Brandon High)Wurm of Haslett, three grandchildren, Robin, Corbin and Logan, brothers and sisters, Norm (Judy) Wurm, Pat(Jim) Shaw, Rose Wurm, Lorraine (Lyle) Sample, Laura Martin and Annette, LaVonne (Lee) Lafayette and Ed (Jane) Wurm, and several nieces and nephews.
