She was baptized in infancy and later confirmed by Pastor O.T. Storaasli. She attended elementary school and parochial school at Clarkfield and later at Spring Creek District No. 102 and Friendship School District No. 88.
She was united in marriage to William H. Feist and to this union, eight children were born.
The family lived on a farm near Boyd, Minnesota, and later settled in Friendship Township and farmed for several years.
She was a quiet home-loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her dear ones.
Tillie was a lifelong resident of this community, working as a telephone operator for many years in Clarkfield and Hazel Run.
She was failing in health and taken suddenly ill on August 29, 1971, when she entered the Clarkfield Hospital, where she passed away on September 6, 1971, at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Feist was a member of the Hazel Run Lutheran Church and was a member of a circle. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Feist passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, about 3:30 on Monday afternoon, September 6, 1971.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and seven children: Lucille, Gretchen (Mrs. Oscar Dotseth), Gloria (Mrs. Leo Olson), William Feist, Jr., James, Gerold, and Darlene (Mrs. Clayton Christopherson); eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sisters: Sophie (Mrs. Melville Long), Mrs. Clara Afdem, Mrs. Mattie Anderson, and Thea (Mrs. Oscar Kopitzke); two brothers: Alfred, and George; and a large number of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, DeLoris; her parents; one sister, Mabel; and four brothers: Jim, Carl, Reuben and Bernt Lee.
