MAX A. KIRK
Max A. Kirk, 53 years old, special agent for the Missouri Pacific Railroad here, died early Thursday morning at a St. Louis, Missouri hospital after an illness of about three months.

Mr. Kirk, a resident of 415 North Twentieth Street, had lived in Fort Smith about eight years. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of Fort Smith Consistory and the Amrita Grotto. He was a native of Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Stephenson of Fort Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Whitney of Los Angeles and Mrs. Mamie Brown of Fall City, Nebraska; one brother, Homer D. Kirk of Fall City, Nebraska; and one granddaughter, Sharon Ann Stephenson of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Funeral arrangements under direction of Edwards Funeral home are incomplete.

Funeral service for Max A. Kirk, former special agentn for the Missouri Pacific Railroad who died Thursday at St. Louis, MO, was held Monday at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.

Rev. Fred G. Roebuck, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated and burial was at National Cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Pallbearers were Otto Kuykendall, F.W. Blankenship, Ted Brownlow, R.V. Hammond, C.R. Johnson, and T.N. Reardon.
