Funeral services for Rubye Lee Eck, 81, and Theodore Albert Eck, 85, both of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Kent Kellogg officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Buckskin, Ben Buckskin, Mackie Moore, Robert Hernandez, Clint Eck, and Dustin Browne. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Rubye was born March 15, 1931 at Quinton, OK, the daughter of Edmond and Ruby Estelle (Manning) Edwards and died Friday, March 30, 2012 in Muskogee. On October 21, 1950, Rubye married Theodore "Ted" Eck in Muskogee. They had 62 years together. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved and spoiled her children and grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for all her friends, especially her best friends, Sue Coppock and Jeannene Clift. Theodore was born July 10, 1926 at Florence, AL, the son of Anthony H. and Henrrietta (Beckmon) Eck and died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Muskogee. Prior to retirement, Ted was a brickmason. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and also of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 5, and Knights of Columbus. Survivors of Rubye and Ted include their children; son, David Clint Eck of Tulsa; two daughters, Debra L. Browne and fiancé, Jerry Bitterman, of Seattle, WA, Cindy L. Buckskin and husband, Michael, of Muskogee; four grandchildren, Benjamin Buckskin and wife, Stefanie, of Muskogee, Dustin Browne and wife, Lindsay, of Puyallup, WA, Harmony McGill and husband, Bryan, of West Seattle, WA, Rebecca Campbell and husband, Todd, of Renton, WA; and five great-grandchildren plus one on the way. Rubye is survived by a brother, William Watson and wife, Mona, of Muskogee. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Reo Watson. Ted is also survived by brothers, Charlie Eck of Melbourne, FL, Jack Eck of Lompoc, CA, Bill Eck of Palm Bay, FL; sisters, Jeanne Guthrie of Tulsa, OK, and Evelyn Norton of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Eck, George Eck, Pat Eck; sisters, Carrie Mae Krieger, Sr. Louise Eck, Mary Schroeder, and Sr. Jeanette Eck.
