Joseph Warner was born in Pennsylvania to Jacob Warner and Magdalena LNU Warner, who I found out from a census were not foreign born. Joseph was my 3rd great grandfather. I believe he was probably of German descent.
He must have moved to Maryland at some point and married Rachel LNU, born in Maryland. I could not find a marriage record for them.
Joseph and Rachel had at least one son, my GGgrandfather, Ephraim. They probably had at least 2 other sons and maybe one daughter. I determined this from the 1840 U.S Census. I believe one of his sons was named Thomas.
I found that Joseph and Rachel were still living in Carroll County, Maryland in the 1870 U.S Census, so they must have moved to Ohio sometime after that.
I have recieved extra info. from a cousin in Saskatchewan. On the back of a photo, she found this info on Joseph Warner: dates of birth and death and the info. that Joseph is buried in Arlington Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio in plot 5, # 339. His sons were Thomas and Ephraim Warner. So, they must have moved to Ohio after 1870. I will look for more info. on this.
A Findagrave.com volunteer (Bill W.)reports that Joseph had 6 plots. Apparently, there is only one other headstone on this land for a Hiram Smith, who I don't know.
