Mrs. Carolyn McKee Greenwood Index Journal
Mrs. Carolyn Powell McKee, 63, of 101 Piedmont St., wife of Allen McKee, died Tuesday afternoon at Self Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Edgefield County, a daughter of the late George and Parmelia Ranson Powell. She was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home, are two daughters, Mrs. Ramona Jefferson, and Mrs. Barbara Ann McKee, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Miss Margaret Powell of the home and Mrs. James [Dot] Boggero of Greenwood; two brothers, George T. Powell of Greenwood and john [Bud] Powell of the home; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday at Harley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Reuel Westbrook and the Rev. C. H. McCarson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Rudolph Sims, Bill Turner, William Nickles, Joe M. Minor, Milton Davis, Roy Summery, Guy Moon, Henry Suddeth, Jack Bass, and Raymond Hudgen.
Honorary escort will be Ranson Sullivan, Roy Gibson, W. W. Buckheister, H. S. Buzhardt, Charlie Bowles, T. R. Underwood, Odell Duvall, Harold White, Pete Bowie, James Ray Dodgen, James Anderson, Maxie Shumate, William Coursey, Willard McDaniel, Robert Ledford, Whitey Sexton, Jack Sizemore, James Hall, Dr. E. M. Mobley, and Dr. W. N. Price.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.
