GRIFFITH, DARLENE,age 75, of Fairmont City, Illinois and formerly of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 8:20 p.m., Saturday, December 7, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m., in the GRAND VIEW Funeral Chapel, in Hannibal, Missouri, Reverend Paul Bond will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park, in Hannibal, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service Wednesday, December 11, at the funeral home. She was born July 9, 1927, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Cecil A. and Ethel Calhoun Pickett. On November 5, 1949, in New London, Missouri, she was married to Virgil T. Griffith and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, James Griffith of Woodbridge, Virginia and William Griffith of Aurora, Colorado; a daughter, Tina Huber of Fairmont City, Illinois and a sister, Deanna Hedrick of Moberly, Missouri. Also surviviving are three grandchildren, Christopher Speichinger serving in the U.S. Army, Matthew Speichinger of Fairmont City, Illinois and Dominique Griffith of Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Pickett. Mrs. Griffith was Methodist by faith. She had lived in Fairmont City since 1954. Memorials may be given to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society in her name.
