Regis J. Eckenrode, 82, of North Huntingdon, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in Life Care Hospital, Wilkinsburg. He was born June 4, 1921, in a son of the late Romanus and Elizabeth McGuire Eckenrode. He was member of St. Regis Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sill Eckenrode, in 2001; a brother, Mike Eckenrode; and a sister, Rita Gummo. He is survived by two sons, James W. Eckenrode, of North Versailles and David R. Eckenrode, of North Huntingdon; a daughter, Carol A. Eckenrode, of North Versailles; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Eckenrode; a brother, Louis Eckenrode, of North Tondawanda, N.Y.; and a sister, Emma Miller, of Loretto, Pa. Friends will be received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 602 Seventh St., (Route 130), Trafford, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with Father Henry P. Dinicco as celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
