VIETTA HAWLEY HOOVER age 84 of Smyrna, passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital. Mrs. Hoover was a native of Wood, PA and was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Hazel Lane Hawley. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry E. Hoover, two brothers Craig and Leroy Hawley and one infant sister.

Funeral services will 10:30 a.m. Friday November 12, 2010 at Trinity Christian Church in Smyrna. Rev. Marshall Gupton will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by her daughter and son in law Kathy E. and David Petty of Commerce, TX., son and daughter in law Harry L. and Gwen Hoover of Murfreesboro, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several cousins, and a host of friends.

Mrs. Hoover was a member of Trinity Christian Church and the Road Runners Camping Club. She spent her entire life caring for her family and serving the Lord. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Trinity Christian Church in memory of Mrs. Hoover.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, 203 North Lowry Street, Smyrna, TN. www.woodfinchapel.com (615) 459-3254.
