John E. "Jack" Slaughter, 71, funeral will be held Friday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery. He died 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in Norfolk. He was born May 1, 1885 in Wayne county to Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Slaughter. He was married on September 24, 1907 to Miss Margaret Sullivan at Battle Creek. They had 6 sons. He was survived by his wife, his 6 sons all Doctors: Earl, Guy at Norfolk; Wayne at Chicago, Illinois; John Howard, Owen at Evansville, Illinois; 22 grandchildren, 3 brothers: Harry at Yankton, South Dakota; Ted at Covina, California; James at Idaho Falls, Idaho.
