Mrs. Mary Ayers died at 5:30 P.M., Saturday, April 22, at her home in Paxtonville. Ailing for some time, she succumbed to complications.
He husband, William Ayers, died some years ago. She was the daughter of Daniel and Sophia Aigler Benfer and was aged 87 years, three months and fourteen days.
Her only survivor is one brother, Jacob Benfer, of Northumberland, R. D. the funeral was held from the home at Paxtonville at 2 P.M., Tuesday. Rev. W. N. Smeltzer, of Middleburg, officiating with burial in Paxtonville Cemetery.
