An active LDS Church member in Tooele county, he was counselor in Tooele Fifth L D S Ward M I A and was active in the ward choir. While at Lake View, he was in the superintendency of the Sunday school from 1940 to 1943.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Ayres Green; two daughters, Geraldine and Rosalie Green, and three sons, Ross, Jack and Max Green, Tooele; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Green, Tooele; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Adams, Long Beach, Cal.; Mrs. Rosie Startin and Mrs. Nathan C. Jones, Tooele, and two brothers, Bill and Darrill Green, Tooele.
Burial will be in Tooele City cemetery.

One man was killed and at least three others severely burned Wednesday night when a giant zinc slag pot exploded at the International Smelting and Refining Co.'s zinc and lead reduction plant.
Ruie Green, worker in the lead plant, was reported killed instantly by the blast at 11 p.m. when hot zinc being poured into a large slag pot exploded over the brim.
