Agnes "Aggie" York, 92, of Tulsa died Thursday, March 29, 2012. Aggie, born December 10, 1919, grew up in Oklahoma City with her parents, Nell and Henry Morse and her sisters Francis Wolf and Nancy Cooley.

She met her husband of almost 70 years, Lauren "Larry" York as a freshman at Grinnell College in 1937. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1941 with a B.S. in Library Sciences and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Aggie and Larry were married May 2, 1942 in her Oklahoma City childhood home where family members still reside. As newlyweds, the young Navy couple moved around the country before Larry reported for duty in the Pacific and they settled in Tulsa in 1947. Aggie volunteered with St. John's Hospital Auxiliary, Holland Hall School, Tulsa Boys Home, and the Altar Guilds of St. John's Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a member of P.E.O., LoHigh Investment Club, and Ruskin Art Club. Aggie enjoyed golfing, painting, mah jong, and bridge with her many close friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Larry, and her son and his wife, two daughters and their husbands and her grandchildren .

The family extends their sincere thanks to all the staff at Saint Simeon's Memory Center for their loving and wonderful care. The Memorial service will be at 2:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Church Monday, April 2, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Saint Simeon's Episcopal Home, Trinity Episcopal Church, or to the charity of choice.
