Mrs Cope died Tuesday following a lengthy illness. She was born in Sparta, Tenn., Sept. 20, 1875, to William H. Howard and Mary Goodwin Howard. She was married to Robert Lee Cope Dec. 24, 1895 and they came to Ada in 1901. Mr. Cope died Oct. 4, 1958.
Mrs. Cope was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Robert E. Lee Chapter.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lois Smith, Ada, and Mrs. Geneva Latta, Oklahoma City; a son, Lester Cope, Los Angeles. Calif.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
