Mrs. Erna Metcalf Jones, 79,, a native of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, February 5th, in Covina, California. She was the former Erna Hoffman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffman, and sister to Mrs. Edgar Mosel, the former Alma Hoffman. She was born in Fredericksburg September 1, 1895. Mrs. Jones first husband died in 1949 and her second husband died in 1958 after a few years of marriage.
She was survived by a son, Leland Metcalf, of San Francisco; and a daughter, Gladys, Mrs. Claude Ireland; her sister, Alma, Mrs. Edgar Mosel; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; also many other relatives and friends.
Services were held in Covina on Friday, February 7th.
