GAINESVILLE – Funeral Services for Glenda Darlene Roberts, 62, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Arthur Green officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Glenda passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Pecan Tree Manor in Gainesville. She was born on Oct. 2, 1949 in Sherman to John Leonard Phelps and Vera Elfa (Stubblefield) Phelps. She loved the Lord and her family. She had a truly sweet spirit and never met a stranger. She loved people. She also loved fishing and eating fish. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Gainesville.

Survivors include a son, Chris Roberts and wife, Melissa of Whitesboro; 3 sisters, Rhonda Tyler of Gainesville, Vera Burdg of Enid, OK and Betty Slayton of Enid, OK; 5 brothers, Orval Phelps of Gainesville, Virgil Phelps of Decatur, Billy Jack Phelps of Whitesboro and Robert Phelps of Whitesboro; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Brandi Roberts, Dustin Roberts and Aaron Roberts; and a great-grandchild, Addison Cargile. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, John Earnest Phelps, Christine Garrett, Patsy McCauley and her twin sister, Brenda Drain.
