Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery.
A lifelong Des Moines resident, Mr. VanSickle was owner and operator of Wilma's Flowers, 6213 S.W. Ninth St. He was a member of the East Gate Masonic Lodge, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and Adelphic Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; three sons, Donald Jr. of Ames, David of Des Moines and Larry of Kansas City, Mo., and nine grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Services for Donald C. VanSickle, 61, of 1341 E. Fourteenth St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Masonic Cemetery. He died of cancer Sunday.
Mr. VanSickle was the former owner of Wilma's Flower Shop. He sold the business to a son, David, in 1974. He was a member of the Des Moines Consistory.
Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor Regan of Honolulu, Hawaii.
